Dayton Bryant, a 17-year-old from Azle, died skydiving Sunday in Freemont County Colorado. Dayton was skydiving just before his 18th birthday. The chief deputy of the Freemont County coroner said Dayton’s death was an accident. Officials found him 90 miles south of Denver in a field by Penrose. Bryant was skydiving with High Sky Adventures and it was his first-time skydiving. Friends and family are posting on Facebook about Dayton. Three major roadways are not open in Colorado during a late winter blizzard. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) says interstate 25, 76 and 70 are now open and traffic is flowing again. The roads shut down Wednesday because of whiteout conditions and drifting snow. During the snowstorm 50 airmen and soldiers of the National Guard were helping rescue stranded individuals. They are still working to rescue some people and a total of 75 are now safe. Also, nearly 30,000 Xcel Energy customers are without power and will remain in that situation until Friday.
